what’s going on in the top right panel? i’m having a hard time figuring out who that is and what the squiggly white stuff is. is it renge with her arms up or something? sorry!!! (and is TROB supposed to say THROB?)
I’m sure it’s supposed to say “throb” that’s the shoulder that the creature injured in “Sword Bite”.

Umm, have we seen the thing that killed her mother?
Back in chapter 7.
It’s huge, black, ugly, semi-female in outline, monstrous and shapeshifting. It looks somewhat like Creepy Ghosty Girl in “HUNGRY” mode, except dead, oily black instead of misty white. What connection there is there if any, we don’t yet know.

With all the black goo drama we seem to be overlooking the fact that Renge snapped her chains. Without hardly trying.

Though she has *lots* of ‘splainin to do. If she was trying to do the right thing, she’s sure totally screwed everything up. If she was a bad guy, she wasn’t being very careful about how she handled it. Seems like she didn’t really have a clear idea WHAT she wanted to accomplish, or there’s yet another layer we haven’t SEEN.
This is also about the time that Hercilia should be released from her shoe-prison. When a giant blob-witch thing is about to be unleashed, that’s the time for,
