Ok… i squeed at the second to last panel. Darn you.
In the meantime… how are the others going to reach the city? And how is Hercilia going to use fire if she’s still in shoe-form? More importantly: Why didn’t Selva turn her back already? So many questions!
Pending the next strip or two, I think I now get to claim about half of an “Aha!” If that fountain is the one I think it is, I’ve been expecting it to play a major role in the resolution of the Oz arc — but I’d been anticipating it as a potential element of the eventual solution, and Warrick’s line suggests strongly that it’s been a key part of the problem instead.
I love Hercilia’s joy at being able to finally burn something – I guess she can still do magic as a pair of shoes? And when did Selva get an axe? Is it Nick Chopper’s?
So many questions – I guess I’ll just have to wait…
Oooh. Is this that same fountain used to defeat the Gnome King I wonder? Also used at Ozma’s coronation? If so I can see how it would be both a solution, but also part of the problem. You girls are so tricky!
The Forbidden Fountain / Water of Oblivion is its name (and if it Is it, only Meg and Isa can answer that).
It WAS used to save Oz and stop the villains at the end of “Emerald City” (book and anime) yes, but the Coronation of Ozma was only in the anime, not in the books.
forgive me lol. I’m not completely accurate with my information, so I just kind of apply everything I know from everything else I saw concerning the story. Kind of like Emma here really. Emma only knows about the movie. lol. So in my case I know more about the anime, and movies with some hints from the books that I have read. ^^;
I’m trying to figure out how much of that Warrick actually said out loud. do the others know that it’s his heart at the center of the vines? — It might make certain folk, like his sister and god-uncle, a little less okay with a fire solution.
Almost everyone heard his tale after the Poppy attack that took place when Emma was in the First Dorothy’s house. He told them he sent his missing heart to ‘Ozma’ So I don’t think they’re phased by what he’s saying. Plus the whole using the vine to find Ozma was also probably an offshoot of Warrick’s original idea of using his pulse to find his heart to track Ozma. Cept instead of tracking a heart, they tracked Ozma, it was just luck that Warrick also felt traces of his missing heart in the vines as well. They are like veins when I think about it.
Interesting. If that’s the Water of Forgetfulness, that would explain much. I could easily see Ozma finally breaking and trying to immerse herself in the Fountain to forget all the pain.
You girls like tormenting the ‘shippers, don’t you? How cruel of you. Yet, I squee anyway.
Hope things went well at the Con!!

Perhaps she still shoes for ease of transport. I dunno. XD
Ah! She’s, perhaps /she’s/ still shoes. Gah, I’m tired.
Away they go…

oh jeez…that second to last panel made my heart all aflutter…WHY do you DO this to me?!

Warrick handed her the axe a few pages back when they were cutting the vine. So, yes, it’s Nick’s.
“It’s fire time!”
“Isn’t it ALWAYS fire time?”
Someone should show Hercilia the Mythbusters.

Thanks for the correction.
Okay, that’s awesome. Can that be a ride now? “Hop on Warrick’s back and fly away.”
Less than four hours last night, excuse me if I sound a bit odd.
Vers l’infini et l’au delaaaaaaaaaaaa!
XD et surtout Emma ne SERRE PAS les bras! XD
Ceci est mon webcomic préféré. Not gonna lie, I used Google Translate for that so it could be completely wrong.
Pas mal! Mon francais c’est ok mais n’est pas bien

Teehee Warrick & Emma <3 <3 <3!! But… why does Chiseri look so mad?
Maybe he doesn’t like Warrick running off into danger with the DorothyEmma? Maybe he disapproves of all the shipping?
*ships anyway*

Emma says more briefly in panel 6.
“I don’t like this plan anymore!” I squeed
“it’s fire time!” I love Herilia!!
Poor Warrrick. His ears just got busted by Emma’s super long scream when he took off into the air with her. *lol*
