The suddenly ghost-colored eyes do not bode well for what happens when Calliope figures out where she is.

Okaaaaaay, the glowy blue eyes portend to something ominous.

Emma and magic definitely seem to be un-mixy things… But what could the ghost have been doing if Emma’s protected by that whatever that lets her wither the poppies?

MAYBE – the ghost wants some form of payback with Renge and is with Emma until she gets that chance!

I can’t wait to see how this all turns out but I do tend to forget about the Good (Calliope, Ben & Elaine with Fred) and Bad (Bird, Fish, nose) guys back home and what role requires of their presence.

Woah, looks like Ms. Eyeless might have been left behind… I’d say that was a good thing, but after Emma’s reaction I’m not so sure!

I’m not so sure she was left behind. That little smile as they disappeared means the ghost is happy about something and now Emma’s eyes are glowing blue. The ghost may be inside her anyway, I’ve thought all along the Ghost might be the source of Emma’s effect on magic. If it only comes out occasionally it would explain why it’s seen so rarely, and always by Emma alone.

Assuming that’s the back of Emma’s head in the first panel, the ghost seems to be on the other side of the blue swirlies and outside the travel orb. But I doubt it’s gone for good, it looked far too pleased.

that’s assuming that’s the same ghost because whatever Emma saw that does give me the same feeling as the other one. I most likely wrong but it could be something to do with the magic, an imprint of it’s maker maybe.

Don’t make me pull the graphic out again. Because I have one now. Specially fixed up for just these two characters. (is a bad shipper)

I was right. There’s something about that ghost. But whatever it was, it seems like Warrick snapped her out of it. I wonder what he knows about what happened.
Hmm… he’s planning on using the other one pretty soon, though, right? I wonder what will happen then.

Seeeeeee? It was a *good* thing she was holding his arm — and that he dragged her out! O_O

(He looks adorably worried in the third-to-last panel!)

You have to wonder why magic is so bad for Namesakes… considering other people seem to use it just fine. (Or is it that humans can’t use magic?)

And he’s holding her hand now, awwwww. Although it looks like that was a good thing considering her reaction to the magic.

Looking at panels five and six, it seems they’re stepping out of a portal. Perhaps that’s why Warrick is saying, “Hurry!” to Emma. She needs to clear the way for those that are following.

Been thinking. If Emma’s sister is a writer, and if Emma isn’t a Namesake (the balls still iffy in that court), maybe she’s an “Editor” ? I just theorize, as in she is like a Namesake, but she can “Edit” what happens in the Oz world, to benifit all the characters to fix the problems? Either that or she’s a Mary Sue. “Self inserted Original Character” That last part was meant to be a joke, the similarities are uncanny. :P

My current theory is that Emma may be a first generation Namesake to a story her sister has or will write.

like that even better, but then I thought. What if their parents were a writer and a Namesake, that got together, thus passing on the “magic” as it were?

Is Emma at odds with magic, or is the ghost making her at odds with magic? Blue trance eyes are new, whatever the case is. o-O

Not trying to be a smart aleck, but “Blue Trance Eyes” sounds like a great idea for a band name. First album could be the eponymous “Blue Trance Eyes Are New”. :D

You might. I’m not sure what’s causing the issue. Which of the pages in particular do you not see? I’ll try uploading them at our larger current size and see if that fixes it for you.

Can you access the pages from the archives? We’ve re-ordered a couple of chapters, but those two weren’t affected.

Some people have reported this, but our tech people aren’t finding the cause. I’m probably just going to try re-uploading the pages as we proceed with book 2.

I’m just glad that it’s working without needing to rip-apart the site :P
I think it’s pretty common for people to use their mobile devices with this comic; though I honestly have no idea if this same problem existed for “non-android” devices.
It’s nice to know that whenever the ‘archive-crawl’ bug hits me, I’ll be able to do it no problems :)
