This is most of the Namesake cast as of chapter 12, to be presented on the cast page of book 2. Feel the love for Ben and the Cheshire Cat!
First to comment, for once!
Great page, it’s fun to see these characters really grouped together like this – some of them look a bit groomed up for this “family photo” as well. It’s funny how Jinjur and Nose have almost the exact same way of looking. A few others look a tiny bit different than how we’re used to . . . . but sheesh, Hercilia, what’s wrong now?

Oh, I didn’t notice Kate/46 till now! I wondered why Alice looked so uncomfortable . . . Could the mystery of the apple on Emma’s sword be revealed one day?
I’m just wondering if this part of a larger image, because it looks a TINY bit blurry to me. Maybe it’s still processing.

Wow. That’s a big cast. And considering there’s a bunch that aren’t shown, that makes this a HUGE cast for a webcomic. It’s a wonder you can keep it all straight, and that we actually get to see coherent bits of their stories without forgetting about all of them as the story goes. Also I love how Alice Liddell and Lewis Carroll are both still in black and white.
Also, grr for extending the cliff-hanger. But I bet it’ll be worth the wait.
We do have the cast page to help us keep things straight hahah!
Well, this is technically a bonus update, so it’s not really delaying the comic… more like offering magazines in a waiting room *laughs*
Ah, didn’t realize that! I check it nearly every day anyway, so I don’t realize which days it actually updates. And I never know what day of the week it is anyway.

I am so in love with this web comic, it’s like a dark little fairy tale for ‘grown ups’. I’m probably going to be commenting a lot now, I can’t resist, this story just sucks you in. My only regrets are that I caught up WAY TOO FAST. I also wish I had more money so that I could buy the comics and on that thought its so cool of you to keep updating the story and to have it free to read online. From a fan of good comics, I give you my thanks.

I think Hexx means “serious fairy tales” compared to the versions usually used as bedtime stories.
Great image, love how all the cast lookins, totally on their personalities, it seems! Mh, could that apple be some reference of Snow white?
A few questions/observations. If Warrick came to our world, would he die, from not having a heart? Would his magic stop working? And would Emma have to make some kind of illusion to mask the fact that Warrick is green? Also, where are the namesakes that come TO here FROM somewhere else? Also, the ghost looks like a cat chasing a marble in that page. Cute.
Maybe he would die,but he is from another world,just like Emma was from a different world. One cannot be to sure about if his magic would stop working, we’d probably find out if he came to our world (*Hint!Hint!to Isa and Meg!!!) I guess she could use tan paint/blush/makeup to make him regular, but that still doesn’t stop the fact that he cant have fluids. Wendy is from London,Alice is from Liverpool and Jack (in the original fairy tale) is from somewhere probably in Europe or North America.

Most of these questions get answered in-comic so i’m just going to whistle evily for now.

I felt the love for Ben and the Cheshire Cat… Why is Warrick watching Emma while Elaine is watching Emma and Fred is watching Elaine…? Not that i’m complaining…It’s a really cute look that they are all giving each other(especially Warrick looking at Emma *fanfic girl heart giggles evilly* and how Fred is looking at Elaine) and that is now my IPhone’s screen
Oh whew! Until I read the comments I thought Emma had impaled Warrick’s heart on her sword, which would have made me scared.
Good to see Fred looking happy and healthy. I don’t recall, who is the blue haired lady near nose?

Emma would NOT kill Warrick-.- unless she was possessed or something
But there are fairy tales where you have to chop off someone’s head to change them to their true form. Why not one where you pierce his heart, like Cupid’s arrow.
And Warrick’s heart is somewhere outside his body, maybe she could only reach it with her sword to bring it back to him?
We aren’t in our world here, but somewhere all the tales are true.

This piece is absolutely stunning
And I was so prepared to say ‘and there’s only one character I don’t recognize’, but then I saw the earrings and realized that it was Hercilia! XD I guess I was just picturing her as more ‘platinum’ until now.
[at least I saw this before I got too far with the piece I'm sketching...]Everybody just looks so gorgeous and their character/personalities are showing through. My guess about that apple is the first thing that sprang to mind, which is that she might be heading into the world of the Seven Dwarves at some point. (or maybe it has to do with being the fruit of knowledge…) I’m really curious about the PoppyDeathVines being included in a Cast Page.
Warrick does have an apple in the Halloween art in October 2012
and so he does… I guess I just wasn’t paying much attention to it at the time. “apple bopping”, Hallowe’en and all that…
