You’re evil. That last bit of dialogue just makes me squirm. She’s what? Lucky? Powerful? Are we going to get some exposition? Is this going to be a completely unimportant observation? Gah! EVILL!!
Ah, the Good Witch of the North, who pretty much VANISHED from the books after the first. Yeah, I guess you don’t really want Deus Ex Machina Glinda showing up quite yet.
Not so sure here. “Anlise” is about as Oz-canonical a name as “Selva” was, and if the Witches of the East and West have stand-ins in Namesake-Oz, there’s no reason the Witch of the North might not be a ringer too — and no particular reason she has to actually be a Good Witch.
As for the mystery woman with the eye sockets, I wonder if that’s the yet-unseen Calliope.
We have to wait to see, but I’m sure she’s SUPPOSED to be a Good Witch; the Munchkins aren’t running away screaming, which is what they’d do if another known Wicked Witch showed up.
However, if I end up in the Namesake world, I know I want to be armed with more than a PDA.
Actually it’s the lips in panels 2 and three along with the nose. I used two tabs, one with this page and another with the previous page. Interesting to know that “witch” in Oz is like the old celtic use of “druid”, ie someone who uses magic.

Mwahahahahah! *puts on my evil hat*
*excited* Oh yes. THIS.
Ugh, enter too fast. You TEASE
MADAM PLEASE.
But there is a character who has an obvious Old Man With Information! I AM EXCITED! At least this is my guess….
Anlise wears her hat so fashionably.
I know. It’s really fun to draw.

I,m not a huge fan of Deus Ex Machinas. I gotta say.
Hmmmm, should we be trusting the White Witch? I mean, history is not on her side if any of you are Narnia fans…
If she doesn’t offer you any Turkish Delight you should be okay…

Candy witch bait?
Okay, now I have an unwanted image of the White Witch here offering candy to little girls for much more disturbing reasons.
There’s good witches and bad witches in Oz. “witches” is more of a general term for “magic-user”. Though, I really don’t know about this Anlise witch.
And if you have a witch played by Sigourney Weaver, she’ll be a BAAAAAD Good Witch.
ugh. Maybe it’s just me, but does the Good Witch of the North look a lot like the thing that wanted Emma’s eyes ?
The Eyes Have it!
It’s the poofy, evil hair, isn’t it?

Yeah, it’s kinda like “druid”. In fact, it’s probably similar to what people imagined druids to be, back in the day.
Oh evil cliff hangar! XD
Moar!!!
Glenda may have transformed herself out of Oz. So someone else took her place.
