Hey folks! I wanted to give a shoutout to Bill and Dani with All New Issues. They launched their Kickstarter for their vol. 1 on Wednesday, and it’s raised 50% of its goal within the first 24 hours. That’s fantastic! Bill and Dani helped promote the Namesake Kickstarter, and likewise I want to promote theirs. All New Issues is a fantastic slice-of-life comedy, and I can’t wait to get my copy. You can see their Kickstarter here.
As for our Kickstarter, we heard from the printer today, and I am getting digital proofs of the book on Friday! They’re sending the pages and a separate “dummy” book that will let me see how the finished book will look with binding, pages, etc. This is a good thing because it will enable me to accurately determine shipping costs and add the book to our store, as well as planning for shipping the Kickstarter books.

And somehow Warrick keeps ending up with the short end of the stick. Hahahaha
I can’t really help squeeing a little bit at this page. I’m sorry! It’s just… the ship…. D:
And Warrick’s faces when he’s being shocked (or whatever it was that just happened) are so funny! He really does have some of the best expressions.
Ninth panel Warrick is *adorable*
The first panel made me think… “Marry me.”
lmao
I kid I am so shameless
I am so happy to see finally have time to read this
I am wondering if anyone has notice her eyes….
Yes, the mysterious whirlpool…Perhaps any missing characters or character remains will use them to teleport into Oz?
ah! dang it! I tried to click next before saturday!
the poppies are not in her hair. O_O is their hair covering the poppies? (Tired forgot her name)
anlise
Yes. Anlise is looking saner and less shrubby than I have ever seen her. I wonder how that happened.
It’s quite apparent he didn’t enjoy that. Like the couple of times I’ve experienced what 110V, 60Hz feels like. Fortunately, it was mild both times, but I wouldn’t care to repeat it right away. (Let me add, wearing industrial rubber gloves while changing large Christmas lights may be better than doing it without.)
I once knew an idiot who tested voltage with a screwdriver. If it only burnt the tip it was 110, halfway up was 220 and all the way to the handle was 440. The bosses were very upset when they found out and made him use a proper tester.
I had a coworker from Scotland who used to test with his TONGUE.
Wow. Just…wow. I had no idea people did that kind of thing.
My dad has been an electrical engineer for years, and a power specialist for the last part before retiring, and he always did things strictly by the book.
Wearing full protective firefighting gear doesn’t necessarily protect you from an electric shock, either. *ahem* I’ve heard.
Anlise makes cogent comments when she’s only minimally poppy-ridden!
(But she has a typo: “Maybe she really isn’t suppose(d) to be here.” …how many days did it take me to notice this??)
Thanks, we’re aware of it! It’s actually a grammatical error. The word’s not spelled wrong, I just get my suppose/supposed mixed up at times. It’ll be fixed for the book.
UGUUU. Warrick you are adorable when you try to be good.
Well done, Warrick.
Well done.
No, he’s very rare, actually. If he were well-done I don’t think he’d be talking so much.
I like the “Our Dorothy is broken” comment.
I love that Agha, once scared of Warrick, responds by basically telling him to shut up.
We may have a broken Warrick.
aaaaaaawww warrick
Is the calming spell that Emma had on Warrick fading?
Naw, he just gets irritated when things shock him.
love the first pannel the suttle gentlemanism
him holding you hand so cute !
I don’t think she was saying she wasn’t “a Dorothy” just that her name wasn’t Dorothy, which might be a world of Difference. Kind of like the name Caesar is used to mean Julius and the title Caesar to mean the Emperor of the Romans when referring to history history and culture of early Europe. We you think about it that way there’s a world of difference, though it can be easy to confuse the too if you’re poorly informed.
XD I laughed so hard at Warrick’s expression in the eighth panel. Wonderful work ladies, as always.
Warrick, you’re so awesome XD
Say OW!! Stupid magic.
