I always loved Lt. Corwin’s interactions with Ivanova “If I live through this job without completely losing my mind, it’ll be a miracle of biblical proportions.”
“Well, there goes my faith in the almighty”
Aw, yay! I’m thrilled that Selva has apologized as well! The two of them are headed in the right direction! Hopefully with the influence of Scarecrow and the Dorothy, the ball will keep rolling!
I interpreted it as stubborn mix of embarrassment and concern regarding everything that has passed between them. They’ve both said they’re sorry now, but will it be enough to bridge the gulf. They’re both headstrong people.
Umm… Didn’t Possesed!Anlise know that Selva could turn into herself at any moment, since it was her own spell that backfired? She didn’t find it strange that “Bag!Selva” let herself get burned?
I don’t think Anlise was aware of that. If she was, she probably would have tried burning it as soon as possible.
Then again, I don’t know how common Selva’s ability of transforming stuff is in Oz. If it’s common, then it would make no sense for Anlise to ignore it.
Since everything so far is canon to the original stories, forms of transformation with strict limitations are known but not exactly common. Close to common maybe but only if you include the most limited transformations (ie one form of transformation only) Only once has an almost unlimited form of transformation been introduced before this, and to transform out of it the caster had to be able to speak. If anything Anlise would probably expect Selva to be stuck.
Only the original Wizard still knew that secret BTW. He learned it during the book it appeared in and the other who knew it drank water from the fountain of oblivion. Hard to remember a secret when you’ve lost all your memory . Now it depends on who trained Renge as to whether she might know the secret or not.
It only just occured to me now that Warrick is actually related to Ozma. Well, in a way. Her being his mother’s god-mother or something. That’s where he gets his gift, isn’t it?
Babylon 5 – Susan Ivanova

She was always good for quotes. My favorite is the “Ivanova is God” speech which should be available on the Intertubes.
I always liked the “Who am I?” speech. Susan could always be counted on for a good line throughout the series.
My favourite is “Trust Ivanova, trust yourself, anyone else – shoot them!”
For years I fought against imperialism, now I am the expanding Russian frontier.

Hmm… some interesting facial expressions going on here. :3 I’m excited to see where this arc goes next.

Sous entendu: “Je suis désolée, mais tu peux courir encore un peu avant que je te pardonne”. J’adore Shelva
What is that weird stare/look on Selva’s face in the fourth panel?
Is she staring at Emma or Warrick? And is that an angry or suspicious look?

And Jinjur shall return!
Maybe Selva’s face is still showing some childhood hurt from the doll-burning . . .
But has Jinjur been planted?
Selva looks a little distrustful yet in a few of those panels. I guess she has a reason yet. Hopefully she’ll be able to open up a little more.
Wait, I’m confused. Was the quote shortened, or was it the virtual cookie shortened? Do you use shortening in a virtual cookie?
BABIES! (Tumblr has obviously rotted my brain.)
So, they did take Anlise with them. That won’t end well… Probably.
Oh thank Oz, Jinjur looks like she might be back in action soonish.
Sitting here staring at my screen, waiting for Thursday
Loving her haughty expression in panel three. Pretty sure that’s the right word, anyway. XD
