That’s very kind of you to say that! The one week is already really awesome to have as a break, we might take another during con season, so we don’t want to spread this one for too long.

Are you suggesting the dude with dark hair is a member of the Nameless? I will admit that he does look a bit familiar. But… Wait… That nose!
I believe it will be pretty. The imagery looks amazing, and i’m excited the China (porcelain) people are around. They are often forgotten. But, I don’t really know about the plot. It’s pretty hard to tell from the current material what the plot will be. But I don’t really feel the Wizard should be portrayed as a full-on hero, as he seems to be in the preview. He did become a good guy with time, but he’s still a crook and somewhat of a jerk in his youth (a jerk who does not hesitate to kidnap princesses). If the movie manages to keep him as a bad-ish guy WHILE making him the hero, I will be happy. I mean, if they make him too nice, it breaks canon with the books and the MGM movie.
Very true. Honestly, I’m more excited about seeing the various places in Oz (like the porcelain people! Didn’t have that in the preview I saw) getting some love. I have a feeling he’ll be portrayed more of a hero, but thankfully many people are still familiar with at least the MGM movie and would understand the Wizard is supposed to be kind of a jerk. Time will tell is Hollywood has decided to use that. It would be funny if half his adventures involved running around Oz hijacking princesses like some a dashing Ice King in an air balloon.
If it doesn’t work out, well, there’s always the silent film.
I’m thinking the visuals and the chosen places they will explore will probably kick-ass… But I just don’t know if I can take good-guy Wizard having a love story with not-badass Glinda, as some of the trailers seem to indicate. It’s just weird.
I saw a longer trailer yesterday and I’m getting suspicious that at least one of the ladies featured is a sexy!Ozma. Also I though that in the longer trailer it seems much more obviously green screened.
Speaking of green, the attempt at ominousness with green hand clawing at a table seemed to forced. Or perhaps I’m too used to Warrick :/
huh. I wonder if that book constitutes as research, or if he actually is just enjoying a book.
Kind of makes one look at books differently when one feels that every story is inherently real people, with generally sucky-things actually happening to them.
Imperturbable, the mot juste.
His shoes look like my favorite slippers, at least from the top.
So is this Emma’s arrival?
Looks like!
New Year, new comic. Yay!
So, is Emma gonna end up in the hands of the ‘other’ guys before Calliope can find her? Interesting…
2013 starts off with intrigue.
Indeed…
Did Emma come in like an asteroid or something? She seems a bit burnt.
Crossing portals thru space and time always takes a bit of a toll. Alice is also pretty banged up when she does hers.
If this is Emma…then..*SNAPS* HA! BAREFOOT! MY FANART WAS ACCURATE! *pauses*..I’ll go away now..
Emma is often barefoot. She doesn’t like socks or shoes.
Especially when they talk back?
Well, I can sure understand that.
Well I dont feel as silly now for the choice
As much as I love the comic, story, characters AND a New Year’s update…
You two really should have taken an extra week off. You deserve it and I’m sure many of us would forgive the wait
Happy New Year, and can’t wait to see what amazing adventures await in 2013!!!

If it is Emma who meets the bad guys, then this could be interesting in how the drama turns out.
If it’s the GHOST in Emma’s form (disguise), well then . . . goodness help us! Trouble may be ahead . . .
She’s baaaaaaaaack!

Who nose?
Yes indeed. The guy with the nose is Nose, from the chapter cover page and from a few chapters before with Fish and Bird (aka Vanessa).
Emma’s back… and the trouble begins. O torturous comic, why hast thou such evil creators?
Oh, by the way, it should be “He won’t get back to that book”- you’ve got will twice right now, both in He’ll and in Won’t.
Ah, but if you only read the url, he gets much more sinister. “hell wont get back to that book for awhile” dun-dun-DUN
Queue: dramatic rodent.
HOLD THE PHONE. Anyone else seen “The Great and Powerful Oz” preview??
Oh my god, I can’t wait for that movie! it looks amazing!
