So……can it be Thursday yet? (Well 9pm Wednesday where I am), I want to keep reading. I really hate having to wait, even just a simple 2 days for the next update.
That stone looks a lot like the one he wears now. I don’t suppose it’s the same one now is it? Or are you going to pull another twist and have him just decide it looks nice and shiny and keep it after whatever has to do with the boxes helps him?
Did anybody else notice that in the top left panel, his hand is only wrapped to his knuckles, and then the rest of the time, his hands are wrapped all the way? Maybe I’m missing something…
The first panel must be a view in a mirror. *nods firmly* (Or else he had the other hand partly-wrapped for a while, and scavenged the bandages for the bad hand, later. I’ve been known to do similarly with my Hand-eze gloves, if I’ve lost one; I switch around depending on which wrist is twinging at me more.)
You know, all of this stuff from Return to Oz makes me wonder what happened to Jack, and Tick Tock, if I remember his name right. After all, the copper, clockwork soldier can do anything but live, and I would love to see Isas rendition of him. He was my favorite character in Return to Oz. (i’m never sure where the hell to put those commas. How the hell do I pass off as a writer?)
Psych: None of this is from “Return to Oz”, I don’t think, but from the SOURCES from which “Return to Oz” was derived — The Marvelous Land of Oz and Ozma of Oz.
Tik-Tok first showed up in “Ozma of Oz”, when Dorothy freed him from the cave in which he was locked. Jack Pumpkinhead was created by Tip, who was Ozma transformed into a boy, in “The Marvelous Land of Oz”.
A) Warrick is pretty
2, er.. B) awh, Warrick loves and misses his mum, ~genuinely~ There doesn’t seem to be any lingering resentment.
C) I’d have to say that the only reason Warrick doesn’t have both hands wrapped was because it wasn’t worth the difficulty, as opposed to only having the one hand wrapped so that he wouldn’t worry Selva, despite not feeling like much of a Mender at the time.
Is this the castle that Adora died in?
The same.
Ahhh, the lunch pail tree. I remember this from “Return to Oz.”
It was in the oribinal books too. I just loved how they did it in the disney movie. I mean. Look at it! Isn’t it awesome?
Yes, it is awesome! I wish those actually existed.

And your anguish motivates me to draw mwahahahahahahahahahaha!
Kidding aside, I wish I could update everyday. It would rock.
If you could update everyday, I would love it so very much, but I know how difficult that can be, so I am okay with thrice a week.
The dinner and lunch pail trees were my favorite thing as a child!
So happy to see that.
Damn, I love food.
Loved that part too.

It’s the broach that Adora used to wear, it fell off during the battle with the monster. Warrick wears it now, so yes it is the very same broach.
So only the hand on the bad arm is wrapped in bandages…
But his other hand… he still gets worse after this? Is he still dying?
Getting progressively worse in the flashback. In the present… You’ll see.

That’s his other hand.
Which, in the other panels, is unwrapped.
I have no idea what’s going on now…

I love the expressions on this page- they remind me of expressions from the Peanuts at times.
Warrick’s sigh for his mother made my heart break.
At first I was thinking “well he’s not dead yet!” but it looks like that’s coming soon…..

And soon his heart shall be removed.
And a Pickle just has to be green, Billina.
Sorry for the random non-sequitor, couldn’t think of anything to say.
Love the tree.
Ozaline: If you’re going to do that you gotta do it right:
“But a pickle’s jest *got* to be green, Billina!”
doing it from memory without the book at hand at the moment.
Dinner Pail tree inside? Lazy Witch!
LOL!
But I want one too…
Oh, wait, being crushed under a crate full of papers will solve all my problems!
