Ok, in that case she’s being mean to Emma what with Warrcik’s romantic nonsense.
By the way, when a Writer is involved, how much autonomy do characters have? Can the Writer make them do out-of-character stuff?
Be careful Emma! That might not be your Elaine, that might be a future Elaine that dwells within this extra world trying to bring their Emma back, and all the other papers are her failed attempts. :0
A blind (or blindfolded) Elaine. I’m scared to see what Emma will find when she turns her “sister” around. This world between worlds is creepier than the earlier one. Ladies you continue to surprise and amaze!
I can’t wait to learn more about the Writer abilities. I’ve always seen my writing as a medium to tell a story that is happening or has already happened. The characters do their own thing and I just record. I wonder if that’s what a Writer here does? Or does it go deeper? Ohhh, I can’t wait!
Like in the original book version of The Neverending Story…where the guy writing the book is, at first, just transcribing, until the Empress orders him to start writing the book into itself from the beginning, to force Bastian to believe that the story is real (In the movie, they just had her tell Bastian’s story, in the novel, he reads it instead, starting with the backwards name of the book shop that appears at the start of the whole book.)
This story reminds me of Inkheart (2008), starring Brendan Fraser (which is based on the book). Specifically, it seems that Elaine is like Mo and Meggie in that she can create reality (of sorts) by writing stuff into reality. A perfect example of that was when she made Fred the card guy able to understand them perfectly and communicate with them simply by writing it to be so.
Okay, I officially believe that we are in Elaine’s head and she’s coming up with this entire story on the spot.

They have enough that she turned a card man into a human.

Something tells me… that’s not quite how it looks.
uhoh…emma, i think trouble is wearing your sister’s face.
“The Hole in the wor-?”
I think all text fragments come from prior pages, but this one definitely comes from the page published on the 24th of July.

OMG I have a bad feeling about this.
Oh dear, I get the feeling that some more uncanny valley is on its way.
Bad spirit in 3, 2, 1…

Same here!!
Agh! So many feelings! I just hope everyone’s ok… But of course they won’t be. :/

When your sister appears in a creepy setting, as a book character, you should run so fast you make a sonic boom.
Oh! THIS is the writer! The card guard mistook Elaine for this person from between the literary worlds…
Just as Emma is about to do.
And no eyes? Really? Related to the ghost somehow? I’m edge-of-my-seat again, well done!
Seems more like forced documentation… was Lewis a Writer at all?
Yes, Lewis is a Writer.
In your opinion do Link and Zelda count as namesakes? Seeing as they are constantly “reborn” again and again to save the world.
She has no eyes.
Cliff hanger much
Methinks this is not the Elaine we’ve come to know…. lol, look at me, trying to sound smart. I have no idea whats going on xD
I’ve said this before, but…
